Alpine Buck Phantom - The Week Before the Show

        Phantom of the Field
        Alpine Buck for Sale
                      $450
                      SOLD

Phantom is an outstanding proven buck., winning Grand Champion Alpine Buck in Sedalia, Missouri this year at the MO-KAN ADGA sanctioned goat show against some very nice competition. He has excellent conformation and a wonderful temperament. He comes from a long line of heavy production herd milkers with well attached udders. He would be a wonderful herd sire.  We are sorry to see him go but we are moving almost entirely to miniature jersey cattle. We are selling all of our Alpines and that includes the buck.

Dust is a terrific goat and would make a great herd sire. We were retaining him for breeding but decided to only keep one buck.

His dam is a Permanent Champion, winning Best  of Breed in her last two shows. She was a fabulous milker, giving over 1.5 gallons a day when she was 6, 7, and 8 years old (the years we owned her). He comes from great show lines as can be seen in pedigree.

We took him to the ADGA sanctioned MO-KAN show June 2011 where he won Reserve Champion.

Diamond could make a good show/milk goat.  Her mother is a good milker although not an extremely heavy milker. Diamond would make a terrific 4-H project.

Almost Diamond's Dam at 2 Years
Alpine Show Goat Picture

Wisdom throws correct, show worthy kids every year.  She has done it again with Almost Diamond.  Almost Diamond has great angles, good width, straight wide legs, and potential for great dairy character. Wisdom is has been shown 5 times winning, Grand Champion 1x, Reserve Champion 2x, 1st Place Udder (while placing 3rd in her class) 1x, and 2nd Place 1x. We did not show her last year due to vacation schedules not working with show scheduling. Wisdom is a good milker with good udder attachment, strong medial suspension and terrific fore-udder extension.  At 22 days out from her 5th freshening, Wisdom is milking 8.2 pounds a day. Almost Diamond
's sire comes from strong show lines as well as production lines.  His granddam, GCH 3*M O'Neal-Farms Something Special, milked 2 gallons a day.  Almost Diamond would be a great addition to just about any farm.  We plan to show her until she is sold.

We have loved having Wisdom for the last 4 years but we have to cut back on our herd and so we are selling her.  She would make a great show goat, particularly for 4-H.

MINI-JEWELLS TOP OF THE LINE
Alpine Goat for Sale   Alpine Buck for Sale   Alpine Goat for Sale Side View
Registered Alpine Goat for Sale - Pictures taken when buckling was 5 days old.

Top of the Line is out of Permanent Champion Sweetbriar KAR Maiden Pink's daughter, Maiden Voyage. Sadly Maiden Voyage broke her leg at 1 month old an cannot be shown in ADGA goat shows. She has the same well blended lines with lots of dairy character as her dam, Pink.  Pink won Best of Breed at her last two goat shows.   Maiden is milking 10 pounds a day at 24 days out from her 2nd freshening. Pink was a heavy milker (although never officially tested).  Her twin sister tested out at 9.8 pounds after first freshening, 9.6 at 2nd, 14.8 at 3rd, 14.9 at 5th and 11 at 6th. Last year, Pink was still milking 1.5 gallons a day as an 8 year old.  Both Pink and Maiden have fabulous udders with strong attachments, exceptional rear udder height, extreme fore-udder extension, and strong medial ligament. Maiden has perfectly sized teats and is an easy milker. Top of the Line's sire comes from strong show lines as well as production lines.  His granddam, GCH 3*M O'Neal-Farms Something Special, milked 2 gallons a day at her peak.  This buckling has great conformation with a wonderful
top line and wide straight legs. He could make a terrific herd sire. We will take him to the MO-KAN goat show at the end of May, where we expect he will show well.

Our Goat Information and Goat Purchasing Policy

Welcome to our goat farm where friendly, healthy dairy/show goats are our goal. We raise Alpine dairy goats that produce great tasting milk. We are located in Kirksville, Missouri, about one hour south of Iowa and one hour west of Illinois. Please feel free to visit our goat farm or ask us any questions you may have. You can contact us a 660-627-0273 or at nataschajewell@yahoo.com

Prices for doelings and bucklings are listed above. You can reserve a goat by making a deposit of $50, with the balance due in cash at the time of pick-up from the farm. I do not reserve goats until after they are born. We do not ship goats at this time. The price for the goat includes registration papers, health papers, vaccinations, tattooing and disbudding.

We believe it is important for you to know as much as possible about any goat you are going to buy. If any potential purchaser would like to sample our goat's milk, we can milk that goat, chill the milk and you can taste that particular goats milk. In addition, if you want to milk the goat, that is just fine.  We are also happy to teach you what we have learned about raising goats and quality of our milk.  We test all of our milkers for TB and Brucellosis. We believe in raising dairy goats in a natural way, using as few chemicals as possible so the milk produced by our dairy goats will be healthy and safe to drink. Originally, we started using chemical wormers but discovered rather quickly that they would not work for us. Not only could our goats build up a resistance to chemical wormers, but too often we couldn't drink the milk produced by our goats because of the "waiting time" of store bought wormers. After doing research we switched to herbal wormers for our goats which allows us to drink our goat's milk at all times.  The only routine shot we give is the yearly CDT vaccine.

Because our farm is small, we are able to spend time with each of our goats, kids and adults alike, helping to insure that each goat is tame and people friendly which is essential when trimming hoofs, clipping for shows, or milking. Some of our babies are bottle fed while others are kept on their dams, depending on circumstance and need. If you are interested in one of our baby goats, we can work with you on how you would like the kid fed.
